Each year we select a new suit as manufacturers do not carry suit styles year to year (those of you who have been with the Rapids for several years will remember the many issues we've encountered in our previous attempts to use "two-year" suits).

This year's suit selection is the TYR Team Check.

Team suits are not mandatory; however, it is strongly encouraged for you to purchase the suit for your child(ren) to build unity and team spirit .

The dive team and adult swim team will use the same suits and utilize the same fitting dates and ordering processes as listed below.

How much do the suits cost?

Girls'/Womens' suits

  • $44.99 (sizes 20 through 40 in both styles)

Boys'/Mens' suits

  • $29.99 for jammers (Size 22 through 38)
  • $23.99 for racer brief   (Size 22 through 38)

 

How do the suits fit?

These are competition suits so they will fit differently than a regular bathing suit (more snug). It is best to try the suits on to determine your correct size. 

Also, we highly recommend that you do not buy sizes larger than you need with plans to let the kids grow into the suits. The extra water taken on by baggy suits creates more drag, makes your swimmer less efficient, and significantly increases the effort it takes your swimmer to practice and race.

When will suit fittings occur?

We will do two swimsuit fittings for 2013 during our normal practice times.

  • Monday, April 29th from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at the Roswell Area Pool.
  • Tuesday, May 7th from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at the Roswell Area Pool.

How do I purchase?

Suits will be in-stock and available for purchase at both swimsuit fittings on April 29th and May 7th.

We recommend that everyone try-on the suits before purchasing if possible. Only experienced, year-round divers/swimmers that are familiar with TYR race suits should consider purchasing before trying the suits on.

What if I have additional questions about the suits?

The volunteers working the fittings should be able to answer your questions or find someone that can answer them. You may also email swimsuits@roswellrapids.org with your questions.
